The Board of Directors is the legal entity responsible for the governing of HMFF, with a focus on mission, strategy, and goals of the organization. We are always looking to bring individuals with unique perspectives and abilities onto the board. Amy M. Thomas - PRESIDENT
Rachel W. Morot - VICE PRESIDENT
Kathleen B. Stanford - TREASURER
Kathleen B. Stanford spent her childhood visiting Murray where one set of grandparents lived on Atwood Boulevard and the other set lived on Vine Street. Her parents both graduated from Murray High School and her great, great grandfather was Mayor of Murray from 1916-1917.
Lloyd R. Jones - SECRETARY
Lloyd R. Jones is a life-long resident of Murray and has been interested in preserving Murray since he was nine years old, tagging along with his mother (Dorene Jones) around town while she gathered information and items as the editor for the Bicentennial Murray History Book.
Korral K. Broschinsky - HISTORIAN
Korral K. Broschinsky is an architectural historian and preservation consultant. Korral has a master’s degree from the University of Utah and is the author of two books on Murray history: Images of America, Murray and the Centennial History of the Murray City School District.
Peter L. Goss - DIRECTOR
Peter L. Goss is a Professor Emeritus of architectural history at the University of Utah. He has taught “The History of Utah Architecture” in the College of Architecture + Planning and for the Division of Continuing Education at the U. He is also the co-author, with Thomas Carter, of the book Utah’s Historic Architecture, 1847-1940: A Guide.
Margaret Pahl - DIRECTOR
Margaret Pahl has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of New Orleans. She worked for 7 years with the Salt Lake City Planning Department and another 2 years with the city’s Building Department. Additionally, she worked as a City Planner in Draper City for 8 years and another 6 years in San Antonio.
Amanda Rock - DIRECTOR
Amanda Rock, a fourth-generation Murrayite, is dedicated to preserving Murray’s historical buildings. With a family history in Murray that includes Italian immigrant farmers and grandparents who owned Raphael’s Restaurant, a popular eatery, she has strong ties to the community. Amanda is a freelance food and culture writer featured in various Utah publications and works as an Executive Assistant and Social Media Manager for the Utah State Library. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, celebrating their Halloween anniversary, and sharing cat pictures and book recommendations on Instagram at @amandarock_212.
