“Murray 1st Ward used to be part of the old Cottonwood Stake. In the old days the Church didn’t pay for the Chapels. It was members of the community. The sacrifices, and the time people spent on the building, and serving the people of this area, was great. Back then it was a real sacrifice, a sacrifice to make our lives better, more beautiful, more memorable. A sacrifice to build buildings and put beautiful things in them, like the beautiful stained glass window. That’s what the money was to do. I hope people appreciate the stained glass window. It is a shame to let these beautiful edifices deteriorate and have them torn down.

I wish the younger generation would remember the generation that lived through it. Let’s remember what others have done for us. That is part of what Murray First Ward represents.”
